A creative block often feels like this:

You want to create art, but there’s always something else that comes first. Your creative drive is there, but actualizing and exploring the your visions is a struggle.

Who are these sessions for?

Creative unblocking sessions are for anyone (18+ yrs) who is looking to develop their creative work - regardless of your medium or level of experience. I believe that consistently making visual art is a pathway for strengthening creative confidence in any medium. I have worked with comedians, visual artists, musicians, poets, teachers, business owners, doctors… the list goes on. Whether you are new to visual art and ready explore your creative potential or if you’re an experienced creator and you’re ready get to the next level of your craft - we can work together.

My approach

I draw from “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron, as well as on my own experience and that of my past students. Building skills is just one element of being an artist - the often more difficult thing is getting past the emotional blocks that pull us away from making art. I honor the fact that making art is often a non-linear process. However, there are plenty of steps that you can take to make consistent progress. I will work with you to discover what makes your art flow, and give you the support and structure to help your art develop. In our time together we will learn to make things, mess up and remember how to play. We will explore tools to express our whole selves using art, design, and craft.

How long will we work together?

Typically I meet with clients once every two weeks over a period of six months. This gives you plenty of time to explore and develop your creative practice between sessions. My timing is flexible and I am usually able to accommodate busy/changing schedules.

Where will we meet?

All sessions take place over video chat. I typically use Skype, FaceTime, or Google Hangouts. Reliable internet connection is key.
